Despite our country's foresaken status, I would rather render my service to her.
ReplyDeleteAnd I cannot blame the people in going out of the country either. Some people tend to be apathetic because if they are to see history, what is it in for us? As long as we eat and survive and alleviate ourselves from poverty then that's fine.
After the protests and revolution, is there a really genuine change amongst us Filipinos or shall the culture of corruption proceed despite the change of leadership or form of government or culture?
I have this question, if we are to oust Gloria, who should take over? Opposition, NDF, military? As if like everyone wants to have that slice of power. And if it changed, will they be unvulnerable to corruption?
I would end my comment with those questions: "What is it for us?" After ousting, what's next?" "After the revolution, whats next?"
Ask the people why they became apathetic despite the mobilizations and you'll get to know the big picture of the society.
Hay, kagubot ning kalibutan oe!! :D
Nice!!! Actuali its not a question of ousting the president or not! its also a question to ourselves if we as an individual and as a filipino has changed.
ReplyDeleteGne la may pag bag o after so much rallying and after the changed of the government, but it counts. We cannot see changes abruptly because its a process..
What we can do is to instill in these young minds baskin sa balay pa lang the values we need to change for our country.
Educating to be a responsive citizen to the youth is to be the main focus. Although, most of our traditions are being handled by the elderly, and of course, us Filipinos have this high regard to the elders.
ReplyDeleteIt is up to us, the youth if we are to change this society or not. Or inherit this already congenital disease of our society.
